Music in an Unobservable Universe

Note : This is just an experimental prototype thought experiment made for a class assignment

TLDR; Made a prototype of visualization of music through memories

The goal of this experimental prototype was to display how one would see sheet music in an unobservable universe, choosing to do this by interpreting memories and visualized as electrical synapses triggering them.

This experimental prototype has the player throw balls that act as electrical synapses in the brain, revealing memories and creating an assortment of sounds and music as they send electrical charges throughout.

By 2 different 3D sounds in the scene, one of music at 150 bpm and the lull of a calm heartbeat at 60 bpm. I aimed to create a weird feeling of fluttery nostalgia through this as higher tempos are generally used to evoke positive and joyful emotions and slower to create a feeling of somberness. As players move from the heart room to the memory room, the mood shifts positively as the player is engulfed in a warm memory. A person's heartbeat will try to sync up with the sounds, but ends up rapidly fluctuating due to the dissonance.
